Nina's Heavenly Delights (2006) Comedy 1 hr 36 min
Shelley Conn plays Nina Shah, a young woman who runs away to London
to avoid an arranged marriage. Three years later she returns to
Glasgow after her father's unexpected death and finds that his
gambling means that the family's Indian restaurant will have to be
sold. In order to keep it, she enters a T.V. curry contest. Director
Pratibha Parmar also wrote the screenplay with Andrea Gibb. Laura
Fraser plays her lesbian love interest.

Spider Lilies (2007) Drama 1 hr 34 min English and Chinese sub-titles
Zero Chou won the best feature film award at the Berlin International
Film Festival in 2007 for directing this film with Rainie Yang and
Isabella Leong in the lead roles. Jade broadcasts herself nightly on
the web cam to anonymous users. When she seeks a tattoo, she is led
to the studio of artist Takeko, who was Jade's childhood crush.
Seeing the golden flowers on Takeko's arm, she asks for that tattoo.
Takeko confides that her father, who died in an earthquake, had that
same tattoo on his arm. Her younger brother, who witnessed the
death, has no memory except for the image of the flowers (the spider
lilies)-- which is why Takeko wears them on her arm. Takeko agrees
to design the tattoo for Jade, and as the two women draw close to one
another, a young police officer pursues Jade and the other girls
working the web cam site.

The Berlin Affair (1985) Drama/ Romance 1hr 37 min
In 1938 Berlin, Louise von Hollendorf (Gudrun Landgrebe) meets
Mitsuko Matsugae (Mio Takaki) the exotic Japanese daughter of the
Ambassador of Japan to Berlin. Louise is married to a successful
politician in pre-war Germany and the two have an excellent
relationship. Both fall in love with Mitsuko. Directed by Liliana
Cavani, the film is made in Italy and West Germany, has wonderful
photography and features first rate performances. The Nazi net draws
around them with tragic consequences.

Chloe (2009) Mystery/Suspense 96 min
Canada's Atom Egoyan is not at his best in directing this film about
Catherine (Julianne Moore) a successful gynecologist who sets up her
husband David (Liam Neeson) with a prostitute to prove that he is
cheating on her! Amanda Seyfried plays the lure to both wife and
husband in this film about voyeurism and identity theft, on the well-
worn theme of how one jeopardizes a family when sexual games are
encouraged. What are Chloe's motives for playing along? Who is
being set up by whom? Breasts aide, where is the sexual heat between
the women?
